My allotted beads presented a bit of a challenge at the start. There was such a beautiful assortment, but as is the name of the game, they are completely different to anything I normally work with. I wanted to work outside the box, but also create a piece of jewellery that is still "me". I fiddled around with necklace designs but nothing clicked. After re-visiting my assortment a few times in the day, this bracelet design jumped right out. I made two 'wrap-around' cord bracelets & a pair of matching bronze earrings that incorporate copper wire-wrapping. My partner Lana does not have her reveal up yet, but I will be sure to update this post with a link when it is so you can see what I sent her and what she did with it.

I love the way you used the copper wire to connect the button like beads. How creative! It's too bad your beads got stuck in the mail, but it's nice you and your partner worked through it.
ReplyDeleteI love the cord bracelet - beautiful! I know all about packages getting "lost" on their way to South Africa. Wish there was an easier way - lol.

Thank you so much Debbie. It definitely was a challenge to come up with quirky wire-wrapping ideas. I'm happy to hear it turned out OK :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for the sweet feedback Chrizette!
ReplyDeleteThey look great, I'm impressed that you stuck with the party for so long. I guess I was lucky that it's taken me so long to get through everyone's blogs.
