Jewellery-making tea party for little hands

I decided to put some unused beads to good use and host a jewellery-making tea party for the sweet kids in my complex. Ten kids in total. I loved watching their personalities jump out as each little pair of hands created something so unique & perfect just for them. There were also some heart-warming moments of making something special for "Ouma" or "Mommy" and some very proud faces as they showed off their works of art.

Between tying off bracelets, crimping necklaces and making sure everyone had something to work on, I didn't take any photos of the beautiful handiwork, but did manage to sneak a few while setting up.

Augusta Tea Party

We had such a lovely morning on Saturday! Thank you to all the special ladies that stopped in. The hard work paid off and I was really happy with the way it all turned out. I wanted to be true to the colours I think are beautiful for this Summer season:  royal blues, apple greens, corals & a medley of other vibrant colours, whilst also balancing them out with some of my more classic designs in pearls and greys. It was refreshing to see such a happy response and by 10am, nearly half of the necklaces were swept up.

One a personal note, I took a slight turn on the day when my 7-week morning sickness decided to run it's full course at exactly 9am! Oh little baby, you'll be worth every second of it :)
